My Life in Links:

  • Northwestern University School of Music
    (my alma mater)

  • Northwestern University Facilities Management
    (my employer)

  • OperaModa--a Chicago-area opera company specializing in American opera

  • myPianist.org--a directory of pianists and singers available for hire in Chicago and the surrounding region.

  • Church of the Holy Comforter
    (my regular Church gig)

  • Marcy Stonikas, one of my lovely soprano friends.

  • Sherrill Milnes--I was fortunate to coach with Prof. Milnes at Northwestern for about 6 months. It was wonderful! There are a lot of incredible faculty there, and he was one of the best. He loves the students, and makes a point of coming to rehearsals and performances. There is nothing better than getting dress rehearsal notes from Sherrill Milnes. Well...maybe one thing better...praise! "Nice pour of sound!" I think is what he said to me after Bartered Bride dress. I was quoted (gushing) in a Chicago Sun Times article on Mr. Milnes: "Basic Training in the World of Opera".

I understand that he's leaving NU soon...a shame. He's been an incredible asset to the school--I'm not sure everyone has fully understood that

Like many great men, he is the object of much love and admiration...as well as jealous scorn and envy. I unashamedly fall into the former catagory and defy those in the latter! Hahah! Check him out on YouTube!
